Golden Buffalo Bill Days (late July)

Category: Festivals & Amusement Parks Last Updated: Monday, 18 May 2015

Golden hosts an annual festival celebrating the life and spirit of Buffalo Bill, who is believed to be buried at the top of Lookout Mountain. If you're in the front range during the last weekend of July, Buffalo Bill Days is one of the best things to do on a warm summer weekend.

The 2015 Golden Buffalo Bill Days festival will take place Wednesday through Sunday, July 22 - 26, 2015.

The parade will take place on Saturday at 10am. Immediately after the parade, Cody's Wild West show begins, taking place at the ball fields along Clear Creek. It's an excellent re-enactment of the classic Buffalo BIll's Wild West touring show and my favorite event at Buffalo Bill Days.

There will be free music Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, such as Chris Daniels and the Kings and The Long Run, an Eagles tribute band. There is a classic car show from 9am until 3pm on Sunday.

While you're in Golden, don't forget to take a Coors tour and stroll along Clear Creek.
